Founders, Lance Mendoza and Darrell Esparza, both veteran lifeguards worked Water Safety for both Motion PIcture Films and are now focusing their efforts for water safety in the motion picture industry, commercials, branding, and anywhere water safety is an issue. LANCE MENDOZA
Lance has been a San Diego Lifeguard/Safety Marine Officer for over 30 years with many certifications and training such as critical stress incident stress management, Aquatic Rescue, Marine Firefighter, EMT, Swift Water Rescue / Cliff Rescue Tech, Rescue Scubadiver, Personal Watercraft Rescue Boat Operator Instructor, Helicopter Rescue Tech, Safety Supervisor City beaches motion picture projects. Lance is a true aquatic safety professional with the skills and resources necessary to be an operational leader.
DARRELL ESPARZA
Darrell has 35 years with the City of San Diego Lifeguard Service and boating safety unit. He operated patrol boats for the boating safety unit, led the development of the in-surf-line rescue boat as well as operated the cities fire/resue boat. Among his certifications are US Coast Guards 100 ton masters license, Private Pilots License, Marine Firefighter, Cliff and River rescue instructor, and Inflatable boat operator. In 2003, he volunteered to train Bolivia Military in river rescue techniques, followed by a deployment to New Orleans for "Operation Katrina" as operations squad leader with Task Force 8 San Diego Fire Rescue.
GARY SEAGRAVES
Gary has over 25 years experience in the Action Sports Manufacturing Industry building and marketing everything from surfboards and snowboards to carbon fiber shafts, floatation foam and aquatic safety equipment. He was a member of the Water Safety Team on the Titanic Movie and has held operational leadership roles in other companies, such as RSI manufacturing and Petritech. He holds a Business/Finance Degree from San Diego State University and has film production and set building experience.
